So I end up wrapping those controls in a .net 4.0 wrapper and then use those controls in the base components now everything works fine :). The Designer Could Not Be Shown For This File Because None Of The Classes Within It Can Be Designed.
The solution was to temporarily change the base class to Form, rebuild the project and change the base class back. Tighten space to use less pages.
